Not sure which trust to choose?

Leave the option set to Discretionary trust (the most flexible and commonly used option) or select Please advise and we'll recommend the most suitable option for you. You can also read our guide to writing a policy in trust.

Trustees

Trustees look after the policy and pay out to your beneficiaries. Provide at least one additional trustee besides yourself. Full legal names, addresses and contact details are required so we can prepare the trust deed and, where an insurer requires wet signatures, send it out for signing.

Trustee 1 (required)

Trustee 2 (optional)

Before you continue — Expression of Wishes

A discretionary trust gives your trustees the power to decide who receives the proceeds. An Expression of Wishes (or Letter of Wishes) is a private, non-binding note that guides your trustees on how you'd like the money to be used. It's one of the most important things you can do alongside placing a policy in trust.

Read our guides: why an Expression of Wishes matters and our draft Letter of Wishes template.
